This is one of the most bizarrely ignorant (intentionally misleading?) articles I have ever read. Even for Medium.
What you need to do is examine what makes a "fair" and successful society.
In principle, it starts with assuring that all or vastly most of your citizenry gets a good education, good medical care, good opportunity, and is supported through life (paid sick leave, vacation, maternity/paternity leave, housing security, decent environment, etc.).
You cannot look to America for any of that.
A history of reducing taxes and spouting on about "free markets" has dropped the USA to near the bottom of the OECD in virtually every metric.
Taxation and its fair distribution is a hallmark of all the countries who sit above the USA in all the aforementioned metrics.
Where did you pull this silliness from? Or maybe "why" is a better question.
