This doesn't sound like "investing". This sounds like trading.
Investing means you have created 2 kinds of "narratives":
1. What is the purpose and timeline for the investment?
a) Income, Capital Appreciation, both
b) 6 mos., 5 years, etc.
2. What does this company do? Where will it be in the expected timeline? Why will it be there? What is the competition? What is the history? What future provided confidence? What threats are there and how big and what is the duration? What market forces are likely to affect it in near, mid, long term?
If you can't or don't answer these questions and build a coherent narrative around them, you're either trying to play trader or gambler. And you're likely a loser.
