It's true that POW is an eco-disaster. But still besides the point. A rare agreement for me with for the crypto heads: It won't go away. it's here to stay just like Las Vegas and gambling is and multi-level marketing. And more and more it will probably be "regulated" like other features of society that are risky and serve mainly the deluded, desperate, or just plain stupid. And gambling and MLM are similarly either non-productive functions that consume a lot of energy. For that reason, too, they likely won't go away. Unfortunately.
