I offer no "excuse" for what's going on in our politics. I participate (actively) and offer solutions and plans and do battle with the idiots as much as I can. And most of all I show examples that work that we can emulate. Et tu Caesarissa?

I also don't see how I'm disregarding "the very freedom of speech you claim to uphold". But the irony of this remark is I am not for USA's nonsensical version of "free speech" that permits self-evident hate speech. I prefer (as you may be aware) the way they regulate it in Germany. If it looks like a racist attack, it is a racist attack. And prosecute the hell out of it.

I called your (otherwise beautifully written) piece a semi-nihilist rant since it just says tear the whole thing down and we'll see: a) Yeah, right, that's going to happen. not. b) Replace it with what? Generalissimo Jessica? C) "a new form of government", etc.: Well, there is the biggest piece of hypocrisy one could ever find: burn it down because I'm too lazy and too subject to bouts of hopelessness to bother to try to fight and fix it or come up with another plan or proposal before leaving it to some strongwoman/man.

Or...you really want to burn it down and see what strong-woman/man will come and save us, because that democracy thing didn't work the way I wanted it to.
