You summarize it well about the space. I remember well my starry-eyed phase. Interestingly, I became clear-eyed even while I was still running and promoting the platform I co-founded. Only after the Chinese government effectively seized it, did I no longer feel compelled to excuse what was going on in the space.

I have assembled a large stash of information on the business and technical nonsense and am slowly processing it for the promised technology view. The latest interesting developments I view as seriously showing why the tech is such a deadend is “AVA”, https://www.avalabs.org/. As I’ve already posted out onto LinkedIn, this is just another blockchain boondoggle. However, like Bloxroute and Tendermint before it, it is nevertheless fascinating and genuinely ingenius. And these overlap and combine in AVA. And, not surprisingly, these projects orgininated in academia. Ah, the temptation of solving software challenges is an irresistable one, I know.
