Easily one of the most misleading titles ever. The author talks about Americans knowing little about the world (which entirely true and execrable). But then compares a low wage in America to a Bulgarian. That would be laugh out loud in its absurdity but it’s more since exactly such comparisons is a screaming example of the ignorance begotten by the lack of world-experience of Americans.
One can only guess that the writer himself is precisely one of those Americans cruising down name-the-river or in a cruise ship locked securely away from the people and the society except the tourist sites.
